NextGEOSS satellite data training
A free event for the Earth observation community – a new and easy way to access data
Date: Tuesday 11th September 2018
Location: University of Geneva, Switzerland
Do you want to make more streamlined use of satellite data in your products and services? Do you want to combine your own data with a range of open data sources?
NextGEOSS, a Horizon 2020 project, has a vision to ease access to Earth observation data. This is a free one day training workshop to engage the EO community, to show what the platform offers and enable EO data to be embedded into a range of commercial and research work.
Who is it for?
This training day is an opportunity for those who already make some use of Earth Observation data but realise there is so much more that could be valuable. You will find out more about how to exploit the NextGEOSS data hub. NextGEOSS system experts will provide information on data available and how to access, process and manage data via the platform. It will help you to build EO data into your products and services.
What’s in it for me? Who else is going?
NextGEOSS has an extensive network of pilot projects, experts who are already shaping the platform and extracting data to build their own applications. From disaster risk reduction to cold regions to territorial planning, meet others who are incorporating satellite data into their applications and learn how you can too.
The experts creating the platform architecture will deliver the training, allowing first-hand access to the knowledge behind the data catalogue, cloud services, analytics and user management.
Where and when?
The training will take place at the University of Geneva on September 11th 2018, the day prior to the EuroGEOSS meeting. Sign up and read more at https://nextgeoss.eu/second-nextgeoss-training/ and for any questions contact Vicky Lucas firstname.lastname@example.org
Sign-up closes 4th September 2018.
